It is with great excitement and anticipation that we announce the convening of another Divine Mercy Conference for New Zealand to be held in Auckland from May 23-25, 2025. This will be only the 5th conference to be held in New Zealand since 1998, however there have been innumerable speakers brought here over that period to promote the Divine Mercy message and devotion, and how to live that out. Divine Mercy Conference 2025 will be in a real sense an encapsulation of all that has gone before and more, and to the point – how that is lived out and witnessed in the Third Millennium. The challenges that we face now in 2024-25 and beyond were barely recognizable back in 1998, or even 2016 (our last conference for NZ), but they were coming.
Evil was growing and has now flowered into what I believe is the greatest attack on the faith and teaching of the Catholic Church that we have ever faced in our time, and perhaps since the dawn of the Church. It is a preternatural evil to which the countervailing view and life is to live the Gospel ever new. But how to do that when the assaults are so great, so all pervading, so manifestly evil, and so confusing?
This conference will help you to grow in your Catholic faith, to grow in holiness, to trust, to hope, to pray, to love, and to live the Divine Mercy message and devotion, ever new and in the broadest Catholic sense, as Sensus Fidelium - ‘Rise Let us be on Our Way!’ Jn 14:31 - Pat Barrett, Director Divine Mercy NZ
We have an exciting line up of speakers. Along with our keynote Speaker Fr. Chris Alar, our Guest Speakers for 2025 have been selected for their unparalelled knowledge and faithful understanding of the Divine Mercy message. The need for Divine Mercy is undoubtedly greater than ever before in this third millenium.
